Police investigating what caused a fatal motorcycle accident

Many people in Pennsylvania own motorcycles and like to enjoy them during these warm summer months. The freedom many motorcycle riders love can also lead to safety concerns as well. Many cars and trucks are not looking for motorcycles or do not see them when they are making turns or changing lanes. This can lead to motorcycle accidents, which can be very devastating for the motorcyclists who have little to protect themselves from the road and other hazards around the roads.

Unfortunately there was recently a fatal motorcycle accident involving a man from Pittsburgh and his wife, who was injured in the accident. The motorcycle struck an SUV which was attempting to cross the road that the motorcycle was driving on at the time.

The police are still investigating what caused the accident. As part of that investigation the police obtained the electronic data from the SUV to help determine what happened. The police have also interviewed witnesses. Once the investigation is complete the information will be sent to the county attorney for any criminal charges.

Motorcycle accidents are all too common and lead to deaths and catastrophic injuries. These accidents can completely change both the victims’ and their families’ lives. These can also be very costly accidents for the victim who may incur massive medical bills and lose income if they are unable work as a result. These people may be entitled to compensation for their injuries though depending on who caused the accident. This compensation can be very valuable to the victims and their families while they recover.

It is important to all those on the roads in Pennsylvania to pay attention and watch out for motorcycles, but unfortunately this does not always occur. As a result accidents happen and people suffer devastating injuries or die. While compensation will not heal the injuries or replace someone who dies, it can still be very necessary. It is important that one receives the proper compensation and experienced attorneys may be a useful resource.
