19-year-old man leads police on chase in Pennsylvania

It’s not very often that you hear about a hit-and-run crash that results in drug charges, but that’s what happened in a case out of Pennsylvania. According to the story, a man is facing multiple counts including misdemeanor charges for causing an accident with an attended vehicle.

At the time of the crash, police were called to the scene of the hit-and-run after a vehicle was struck. A white Ford SUV fled the scene but was eventually found on Paxton Street.

One officer attempted a traffic stop, but the SUV fled. The vehicle entered the Pennsylvania Turnpike, where the state police joined in on the chase. Shortly after, the man slowed his vehicle, got out and began to run.

Officers did have to chase him on foot for some time before he was able to be detained. Once caught, it was discovered that he was a 19-year-old man from Philadelphia. He was in possession of drugs and a loaded gun, which had previously been reported stolen.

This is a shocking story that shows that not all drivers care about the damage they cause or the crimes they commit. As a victim of a crash, it is your right to pursue a claim against anyone who causes an injury. Whether that person is a teen or an older adult makes no difference. It also doesn’t make a difference if they are charged criminally or not. Your attorney can help you decide if any settlement offer is fair and if you should take your case to court for a better outcome.
