Understanding How Our Legal Fees Are Determined

The law firm of Luxenberg Garbett Kelly & George charges legal fees in personal injury claims on a contingent-fee basis. If there is no recovery for you, then our law firm does not receive a fee nor will we be entitled to be reimbursed for costs advanced in litigation of the suit.

If, however, we are able to obtain a recovery of money damages, then our firm will charge a fee which will be a percentage of the recovery. The amount of the fee will differ depending on the type of case involved. If a recovery of money damages is obtained, then the law firm of Luxenberg Garbett Kelly & George will also be entitled to be reimbursed for the costs that they have advanced in pursuing your case.

A contingent fee is also used in workers’ compensation cases as well as Social Security cases. In those cases, the amount of fee is set by state and federal law.

Any additional questions concerning fees should be directed to the law firm or the attorney handling your case.
