Warning signs that loved ones are victims of nursing home neglect

As parents and other loved ones age, many are unable to care for all of their needs, especially if the loved one needs daily medical attention. So, many people end up placing their loved ones in a nursing home so that their needs are met. People try to do their research and pick the best possible home, but even at the best nursing homes people make mistakes from time to time.

Can you see that stop sign?

Do you envision a car hitting another car after hearing the phrase "car accident"? Many people do. Perhaps it was dark and one of the drivers was sleepy or had too much to drink.

Can you receive workers' compensation for partial disabilities?

People may not really like their jobs all the time, but most people still need to keep going in order to earn income to support their families. If they are unable to pay bills and other monthly expenses it can be difficult for them and their family. That is why many companies in Pennsylvania are required to pay workers' compensation benefits to workers who are injured on the job.

Who should you alert in an instance of nursing home abuse?

Learning that a loved one has suffered abuse in a nursing home is a nightmare nobody wants to experience. It is unfortunately true, however, that many elderly residents are victims of negligence and other forms of abuse. There are many physical, behavioral and mental symptoms that may indicate this is occurring, but once the issue comes to light, you might be wondering who exactly to go to.
