A car accident can cause a major disruption in a person’s life. The person’s vehicle may be damaged and need repair. The person may also suffer injuries and may not be able to do certain things, including work, until the injuries heal. Car accidents can also be very costly and the person may incur a number of unexpected expenses, like medical bills.

The victims of these accidents may be entitled to compensation from the other driver, which can at least help them pay for the unexpected costs. Receiving compensation can also be somewhat complicated, but it is easier when the other driver has insurance. However, if the other driver is uninsured or underinsured, receiving compensation from the other driver can be very difficult.

Victims who find themselves in an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver may still be able to receive compensation. However, instead of receiving it from the other driver, they will receive it from their own insurance company, if the driver has uninsured motorist coverage. If they have this coverage, their own insurance company may be required to compensate them for the damages.

Unfortunately, many people are in car accidents in Pennsylvania each year. These accidents can be devastating, but the victim may be entitled to compensation. Whether the compensation comes from the other driver or a person’s own insurance company, the process can be complicated and experienced attorneys may be able to guide Pennsylvania residents through it in order to attempt to make sure victims get the compensation they deserve.
